Wayfair to Open Massive Northfield Store in Northeast Denver by 2026

Summary
Wayfair, the online home retail company, will open a 140,000-square-foot large-format store at The Shops at Northfield in northeast Denver in late 2026. Taking over the space previously occupied by Macy’s, this store marks Wayfair’s entry into the Mountain West region.
The two-story store will include 19 departments, offering a broad selection of items from furniture and housewares to appliances and florals. Shoppers will be able to view displays of select furniture and decor, explore different layouts, and test materials. Interactive digital kiosks and in-store design experts will be available to help navigate Wayfair’s full catalog and offer personalized design support.
While not every online item will be on-site, you can use digital kiosks to access Wayfair’s full inventory, examine highlighted products in person, consult with design experts, and get select Verified items for same-day pickup or help with next-day or home delivery. The store will also feature The Porch, an in-store café serving snacks and drinks.
The Northfield store will join new locations in Atlanta and Yonkers as Wayfair expands its physical presence following the success of its store in Wilmette, Illinois.
Liza Lefkowski, Vice President of Merchandising and Stores at Wayfair, stated that the company is focused on “delivering an exceptional shopping experience that brings the best of Wayfair to life.” The new store is part of a redevelopment plan for The Shops at Northfield, managed by Stockdale Capital Partners. Jeff Bhathal, managing director at Stockdale, added that partnering with Wayfair is central to “reimagining the center as a dynamic, pedestrian-focused destination” that “reflects this vibrant community.”
The Wayfair Northfield store will offer an immersive showroom experience, expert services, same-day shopping, and delivery options all in one location.
