Sweet News: The Cake Bar Tops PETA List

Summary
It is exciting to announce that The Cake Bar has been recognized as one of PETA’s Top 10 “Bakeries That Take the Cake” nationwide, and this sweet news is just in time for peak wedding season!
Founded by Angie Wells, The Cake Bar is proud to be Denver’s first Black- and woman-owned vegan bakery, creating indulgent, cruelty-free wedding cakes that wow guests and reflect the values of compassionate couples everywhere.
Here’s a fun fact: The Cake Bar was even featured on the cover of the Denver Weekly News in its September 22, 2023, issue, further cementing its place as a local (and national!) treasure.
From the rich and flavorful marble cake with maple frosting to the stunning Chantilly cake—a vanilla sponge layered with vanilla cream cheese frosting and topped with fresh berries and mint—The Cake Bar is helping couples say “I do” to love and kindness, one slice at a time.
“The Cake Bar is baking up beautiful wedding cakes without a crumb of cruelty to chickens or cows,” says PETA President Ingrid Newkirk. “Every winner on PETA’s list is a perfect match for couples committed to helping all animals live happily ever after.”
The Cake Bar joins an inspiring list of bakeries across the U.S., making sweet moments even sweeter, with compassion at the center of every bite.
