The Denver Nuggets are proud to celebrate two outstanding coaches who have made a profound impact on the lives of Denver youth. As part of the Jr. NBA Coach of the Year program, we are honoring Isheia Williams and Jalen Snow for their unwavering commitment to teaching the game of basketball and, more importantly, building character and community.

Each of our winners will receive exclusive Nuggets swag and tickets to a home game. They will also be entered into the national Jr. NBA Coach of the Year selection process, which recognizes a small pool of top coaches from across the country for their dedication to grassroots basketball.

Isheia Williams: Building Leaders On and Off the Court

A coach with the YMCA of Metro Denver, is a testament to the power of giving back. Growing up in Chicago, he was inspired by a community park instructor who gave him the chance to play sports. That experience shaped his belief in the importance of community support.

After moving to Denver six years ago, Isheia earned his degree and began coaching local youth. He developed a curriculum centered on his four pillars: Discipline, Effort, Teamwork, and Adaptability. For Isheia, education is the first priority, and he creates an empowering environment where his athletes can thrive as students, players, and role models in their community

Jalen Snow: Fostering Inclusivity Through Sport

A true product of the Denver community, Jalen Snow discovered his passion for coaching while attending George Washington High School. For over seven years, he has dedicated himself to youth basketball, bringing a love for the game that is evident in everything he does.

As a coach at Edna & John Mosley P-8, Jalen’s commitment to inclusivity shines. Inspired by his volunteer work with Special Olympics athletes, he now coaches both boys’ and girls’ teams and leads the Unified Athletics program, which provides a supportive environment for students with Autism. His tireless work and dedication embody the values of sportsmanship and teamwork that we hold dear.
