Denver's East High Film Festival continues its 150th-anniversary celebration with a full day of film screenings at the Sie FilmCenter on Saturday, September 27. The program highlights the lasting impact of East High alumni and Hollywood legends, featuring classics that showcase Hattie McDaniel, Harold Lloyd, and Pam Grier. Each screening includes special guests, tributes, and curated montages honoring their contributions to cinema.

Screening Schedule:

• 12:00 p.m. – In This Our Life (John Houston, 1942)
  Honoring Hattie McDaniel, in her role as Minerva Clay (housekeeper), with special guest Kevin John Goff, McDaniel's great-grandnephew.
• 3:00 p.m. – The Freshman (Fred Newmeyer and Sam Taylor, 1925)
  A silent film classic starring Harold Lloyd. Featuring a Q&A and montage with Suzanne Lloyd, granddaughter of Harold Lloyd.
• 6:30 p.m. – Jackie Brown (Quentin Tarantino, 1997)
  Screening, plus a curated Pam Grier montage; Q&A included.
